Stock & Batch Cost Calculator
Allocate inbound shipping and duties across any product batch and compare landed unit cost, potential gross profit, margin and markup.
Enter the whole batch
Add a row for each product with quantity bought, cost per unit and an expected sale price per unit. This tool works for bread, clothing, handmade goods, trading cards or other stock. The sale price is an assumption for comparing potential margins, not proof that the stock has sold.
Share inbound costs fairly
Enter total inbound shipping or duties, then choose allocation by units, purchase value or weight. If two products have the same unit count but one is much heavier, a weight-based allocation may better represent the inbound transport cost.
Read landed cost and gross profit
Landed cost is the item cost plus its allocated inbound cost per unit. Potential gross profit assumes all entered units sell at their entered sale prices. This tool excludes marketplace fees, advertising, returns and other selling costs.
Margin is different from markup
An item with landed cost 80 and sale price 100 has gross profit 20. Margin is 20 divided by 100, or 20%; markup is 20 divided by 80, or 25%. Use the same currency for every input; changing currency does not convert the amounts.
Common questions
Can I use this for a production batch?
Yes. Enter a consistent per-unit production cost and add the inbound costs you want to allocate.
Is the potential profit realised profit?
No. It assumes all units sell. The card show calculator instead uses quantities actually sold.
Revenue is only half the story.
Check your platform payout, compare a card offer, or calculate costs and earnings for any product batch or selling event.
