Card Show Vendor Profit Calculator
Calculate total card show sales, sold-stock cost, table fees, travel, accommodation, payment fees, net profit and cash-flow.
Total everything actually sold
Add singles, slabs, sealed products or groups of sales. Enter quantity sold, original cost per unit and sale price per unit. If using a group, enter a weighted average that reproduces the actual cost and revenue; unsold stock should not be entered as sold.
Include the whole show expense
Enter table or stall fees, travel and parking, accommodation and other show expenses such as staff or supplies. The result subtracts these expenses once from sales contribution. You can also model the proportion of revenue collected by card, percentage processing fee and fixed charge per card transaction.
Profit and cash-flow differ
Profit deducts the cost of sold stock. Buying new unsold inventory at the show uses cash but is not immediately an expense in this profit calculation. Record it in New stock bought at show for cash-flow. For new stock bought and resold during the show, include its cost in the relevant sold row too.
Understand break-even
The break-even estimate scales the entered sales mix and average payment fees; it is not a forecast of footfall. Profit per hour divides estimated profit by the hours you enter. Cash-flow assumes old sold stock was paid before the show and all receipts and show expenses are settled now. Income tax and output VAT accounting are not included.
Common questions
Can I enter a single total sales row?
Yes. Set quantity to one, unit cost to total cost of sold stock and sale price to total show sales. More rows provide more detail.
Do new inventory purchases reduce profit twice?
No. The separate new-purchases field affects cash-flow. Sold inventory cost is deducted through the sale rows.
Revenue is only half the story.
